My name is Jesse Vista, horseshoe pitching has been a hobby of mine for about 11 years. I first pitched with the flip style horseshoe and did well with that. Then a friend of my Dad convinced me to pitch a 1 3/4 turn. I practiced for a whole year without much improvement. I felt like I would never get this shoe to do what is expected of it. All winter long I was itching to get back to practicing and perfecting this style of pitching. Spring rolled around and back to the court I went. All summer long I pitched about 50 horseshoes a day. By the end of the summer I had finally got the turn I wanted. Now it was just fine tuning before I could be competative. By the 3rd year the horseshoe was flying with confidence and accuracy.

Being more serious five years ago, now I play for the fun of it in our horseshoe club at the Westwood Ranch in Grand Rapids, MI. Its a fun league and each year we are getting more and more organized and developing a great night out.
